January

Brooklyn is growing up so fast! She loves to play with her cousin Mylee, and is becoming more of a little girl every day. She is always making us laugh and has the sweetest personality.

She still gets into her share of trouble.

She also loves to play the piano and sing along. :) I don't know where she gets it...

Brooklyn's First Haircut

Brooklyn got her very first haircut today! We had a great time. She looked so tiny on the big chair, and she enjoyed every minute of it. Here are some before pictures.

Allie, my hairdresser, was so good with her even though she was sooo wiggly! Brooklyn loved to look at herself in the big mirror, and held still as much as a 2-year-old can.

Blowdrying.

And here is the finished product! It's a lot more even now, and she looks adorable!

I was oddly sentimental about the whole thing. It made me realize she is growing up and isn't a baby anymore. I am so proud of her and what a brave little toaster she is!

Welcome, 2013!

We had a rough New Years. On Sunday night, Brooklyn started a fever. It continued all through Monday night (New Years Eve) until Thursday, when I took her in to the doctor. It was an ear infection. She's also had a bad cough and runny nose for weeks. So we missed out on the New Years Eve party at Melanie's, and New Years bowling with Craig's family. Boo. Being stuck at home with a sick child is so hard for everyone. HOWEVER. Craig had an appearance to make at the party as this years Fantasy Football Champion! First place! Woo hoo! So he honorably made an appearance to accept his trophy, and allow his subordinates to bow to him (figuratively, of course). Here is the video of last year's champ (Matt), "handing" the award to Craig and his acceptance speech. So proud of you, Craiggy!

My favorite part is at the end when he says, "So.. in your face!" Hahahaha

When he got home, I went over for an hour to say hi to everyone and participate in an impromptu dance party, which was recorded by my dad but hopefully will never surface. Happy New Year!
