Trick or Treat!

Halloween was great! Brooklyn got to go trick-or-treating at our ward party, at Craig's work, and in our neighborhood! She was thrilled. We got to dress up for a party too. :)

This was at Craig's work. She had fallen asleep in the car, so she wasn't too smiley.

Also, I'm still pregnant. Please come tomorrow, Baby!

Snowbird

This year, we didn't get to stay at Snowbird as much as we would have liked. Craig's family goes up every October for a week. We did get to swim though! (Not me, I'm too pregnant and lazy...) Brooklyn is here with Alex, Abby, Stephanie and Angela, waiting for the elevator to take them to the outside pool.

She certainly didn't lack for attention.

What a fun tradition! We hope to stay longer next year, and maybe even trick-or-treat!

Carving Pumpkins

It's so fun having an older kid to celebrate holidays with! She is getting to an age where she enjoys doing all of the pre-holiday activities, and we are having so much fun with that. We decided to carve a pumpkin this year, and it went pretty well. Brooklyn picked it out.

She was pretty fascinated by all the, uh... innards of the pumpkin. Gross.

She had to try them. After which she did not try them again.

He turned out pretty goofy looking, but we love him!

Then this happened. Sometimes I feel like the worst mother in the world when I try to make my kids pose for a picture.

But we got it! Woo hoo!! So excited for Halloween!

Halloween at the Park

We went to a Halloween Festival at Veteran's Memorial Park with Craig's parents and Angela, and we had a wonderful time! Brooklyn is just getting the hang of handling scary things, so it was cute to see her pretend like she wasn't scared. She was so excited to dress up as a dog this year, and she makes a dang cute one! I think Halloween will be one of her favorite holidays.

She loved this goat.

Donut eating contest!

It took her awhile to warm up to this huge spider, but eventually she grew to love him. :)

Baby Showers

I am one lucky girl. There are some lovely people in my life who threw me showers for the soon-to-be newest member of our family. :) It is becoming more common to have showers for a baby that is not the first if it is a different gender, and for that I am so grateful! I may have some stuff, but you have to buy a whole new wardrobe with a boy. My sweet friend Heather put together one for the ward, and we had a blast. The food was amazing, and the company was even better. I am grateful for friends. The second baby is hard, because since I've "done this before" with Brooklyn, apparently I'm an expert. Ahem. Not so. That was three years ago, and I did it ONCE. So I am so appreciative of people who support you in pregnancy even if it's not your first. In this first picture it's Ginger, Laurie, Heather, Jenny, me, Jen, Rachel and Sara.

Here is Linda and me.

Melanie and me.

The next shower was for the family. It was put on by my lovely Aunt Nancy and my friend Clara, who is also pregnant and whose due date is only 4 days away from mine! My family is the best. They are so supportive and they all love a good party. Grandma Seastrand wasn't able to come, but she and Grandpa did come visit us a few days before. :) She fixed Peaches for Brooklyn. That was my little dog when I was a girl, and now it's Brooklyn's. And now she's not leaking stuffing everywhere. Thanks, Grandma!

Beautiful Aunt Nancy.

Food was fantastic.

Kristin and Clara.

Front row L-R: Marilee, Emily, Ashley, Jayli. Middle row: Clara, Jen, me, Stacy, Tiff. Back row: Kristin, Jessica, Melanie, Nancy, Sam, Carter, Julie, Angela.

Our boys are destined to be besties.

Here's a random shot of Brooklyn reading to her babies. So sweet.

I can not WAIT for this wonderful baby boy to join us! We are all excited to meet him, and frankly I am tired of being pregnant. Hope to see him soon!

Visit to the Dentist

Brooklyn went to the dentist (and had a cavity!), and I couldn't help but take these pictures. She was so tiny in the chair, and I thought it was hilarious! She did great. Opened her mouth the whole time, didn't cry, and even said she liked the dentist. It helps that they have movies on the ceiling that you can watch.

Feeding the Horses

Brooklyn got to go visit and feed some horses with Grandma and Grandpa Davis, and Great Uncle Kevin. She had such a fun time! She loves horses so much.

The carrot is falling in mid-flight.
