Irelyn and Brooklyn

Brooklyn and Irelyn are buddies. It's cute to watch them play together as they get older, and we are hoping they will be best friends when they grow up! Irelyn is Chad and Clara's little girl.

Visiting Brinley

Craig and I had the chance to visit Brinley in the hospital after her brain surgery! She had to have surgery to relieve the symptoms of Chiari 1 Malformation. It was causing a lot of problems that at first were assumed to be after-effects of chemotherapy. But no! It was a completely different thing. The hospital staff was very impressed with Brin and how bravely she handled the nasty medication and the pain. Of course, she has been through so much, that girl is as tough as nails! We were so proud of her.

Jungle Jim's

We went to Jungle Jim's with Grandma Davis for the first time! Brooklyn rode the carousel about a million times, and rode all the other rides multiple times (except the roller coaster. I wish I could have gotten a picture of her face - she was terrified! It was really fast). 

Aquarium

The aquarium! Brooklyn's favorite place. She loves to look at all the fish, and we visit there often.

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa Seastrand

Today, Brooklyn and I went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Seastrand with the Carter kids. We had a great time! It's always fun to listen to Grandpa's stories, and play with the toys that I played with as a kid at their house. 

...And eat the delicious homemade bread and rolls that Grandma made for us... Yummmm....

On the way home, we bought some flowers for Maverick, the Carters' dog, who passed away that morning. :( They were excited to pick out their own flowers to honor him!

Pizza Night!

Recently I've really been enjoying making homemade pizza (thank you, Meagan Thorup). Usually I do it by myself and we all "decorate" it, but this time Brooklyn wanted to help! Truth be told, she did the whole thing herself! Kidding. But that's what it looks like. Hurray for pizza night!

STYX

For Craig's birthday this year (27), his parents took us to Wendover to see Styx. They are one of Craig's favorite bands and he has never seen them in concert. Brooklyn had a sleepover at Aunt Melanie's house, and we took the Fun Bus! It was fun... :) Except that the roads were really foggy and I thought we were going to die the entire drive. We played Bingo and really had a blast. Then we got to explore Wendover - neither of us had ever been there - and went to a nice buffet for dinner. The concert was amazing! We had a great time. Happy birthday, Craiggy!
