June Random

I've got to post some of my favorites of my cutie kids. Brooklyn set up this book wall during one of her quiet times. I love this one because it shows how creative she is.

And here is my cutie little boy. Always a joy to have around.

Bzzzzzz

Here is another topic that touches my heart. My mom. She is the world's best grandma. Seriously. She will sit for hours and talk and read to Brooklyn, and Brooklyn adores her for it. Right now are outside talking about bees, and how they make honey and live in a hive. Brooklyn is a very curious child, and will ask me questions that have a long answer, and I am too often annoyed to answer such an unimportant question. But to her, it's important. My mom doesn't think anything she asks is annoying, and will patiently answer that and all follow-up questions until her curiosity is satisfied. It warms my heart to see Brooklyn's eyes light up as Mom tells her a story about how the worker bees buzzzz around and serve the Queen. I learn so much from my mom, and my kids are so lucky to have her!

Bike!

As Brooklyn and I were taking a walk the other day, she was pedal-to-the-metal on her little red radioflyer bike. However, I had to practically crawl in order for her to keep up. I decided that it was time for a real bike. :) So we went down to the store and found the most darling little bike I've ever seen! And she loves it!! She goes super slow, but I'm sure she'll pick up speed eventually... I hope...

Friends

Here are some fun friend moments for the kids. Stockton and Calvin are only 2 weeks apart, and, I must say, adorable dressed the same. :)

Brooklyn and Irelyn also love to play together.

Brooklyn has made a new friend that she adores. I have never seen her play so well with anyone! These two are hilarious together, and they just laugh and laugh.

And here is what happens when friends go home but Brooklyn still wants to play! (In her defense, she is still getting used to how to swing by herself on her belly)

The Smiling Man

While in Vegas, we were privileged to meet the Smiling Man! He is the star of one of our favorite creepy YouTube videos. He was nice enough to take a picture with his star-crazed fans.

There's No Place Like Home

"There's no place like home" is the name of Kristin's well thought-out hashtag while on our infamous siblings trip to Vegas! She spent probably 20 or 30 minutes trying to come up with the perfect one to describe our joy. However, it mainly went to show that we are old and not really hip enough to come up with cool hashtags. Case and point: the fact that I just used the word hip.

We had such a blast! The 4 Utahns drove down together (in my sweet van) and laughed the whole way. Unfortunately, the reason for our trip was not so light-hearted. My dad is in bad health. He has a weight problem for a long time, and his doctor says he may have congenital heart failure. So we rallied together and decided to take a trip down to Vegas to offer our love and moral support. And let me tell you - it was amazing. Not just fun, which it was, but it was a bonding moment for all of us as a family. We left our kids at home, and remembered what it was like to be a family. I learned more about my siblings on this trip than ever before. I learned that JD is the goofiest person I know, and was constantly making us all laugh. Here are some favorite pictures of mine, although it was hard to choose.

We are so close to welcoming Baby Reverie into the family!

Recreating moments, for the old man's sake. :)

Here's me and my Daddy. I have so many amazing memories with him, and he has been the greatest dad. Always there for me, to support me in my ambitions and to give me needed advice. He is such a wonderful man. I am not ready to say goodbye to this guy. Nope. Not yet.

Something very special happened while we were there, all together. My brothers gave Dad a blessing, and in it JD said that it was not Dad's time to go. He had more to do, more to learn, and more to experience. It made us all so happy, and made leaving even harder. This was such an amazing experience that I will always remember and hold close to my heart. I love this family of mine more than words can express, and I am so thrilled to have them for eternity!

Piano Recitals and Hamburgers

Here are some pictures from our Spring 2014 piano recital. The kids did great! We had it over at the Perkins' house, and I loved watching them play. It's fun to see them progress and watch their eyes light up with pride as they get up to perform their pieces.

These kids are awesome. :)

And here is Brooklyn saying "hamburger". We were cooking hamburger, and she kept saying it so I got out my camera, and as soon as I did, what was she calling the hamburger? Sandwiches. Of course.

Family Pictures

We finally got our family pictures taken! It's been more than three years since we've done them, and it was way past time. I am glad we finally did it. We had to reschedule because of how windy it was, and even on this day it was windy. Our photographer, Kate Hancock, was awesome. She had a great way the kids and the shots turned out great! We are on Soda Row, in Daybreak.

And here's a random funny from Brooklyn. I try so hard to get videos of the things she says wrong. She will pronounce them right too soon, and I want to enjoy her cuteness! Here she is saying "banana".
