April Randoms

Here are my rands for the month. My two handsome boys.

Stockton does this funny thing where he pulls his arms back like he is trying to fly. He does it all the time, as he is trying to figure out how to crawl. He will drop down to this position and flail his legs. It's so cute.

The proud sister, taking care of her brother. I came back from the kitchen to this. In case you can't see, she put stickers all over his face.

Hanging out with his buddy Calvin.

... and face plant. He does this all the time, thinking it will help him move. It's so funny to watch! He will lay like he is in the picture above, and them bam! Face plant. Then he'll pull his arms back, as you see in the next picture. He will figure it out soon enough. :)

Here is a funny little video of Daddy and Stockton playing with the Easter balloons. I laugh every time.. I don't know why I think it's so funny!

Happy Easter!

What a wonderful, fun, beautiful Easter we had! Saturday we had our egg hunts, and Brooklyn had a blast. I look forward to the day when we have more than one kid looking for eggs. It was fun to watch her though.

Naturally, she had to line up all of her eggs.

This little guy was enjoying the nice weather, and being out of his helmet. It was so beautiful outside!

Daddy and Stock watching Brooklyn blow bubbles. I can't get over how handsome they both are!

Then Brooklyn lined up her "squishies".

On Sunday, we had such a lovely day. Tried to take a family picture by ourselves, and it turned out ok. :)

Brooklyn thought this balloon was hilarious. It was still sort of floating, but it didn't rise, it just kind of floated where you put it. She thought it was the funniest thing.

We had a nice dinner with Aunt Nancy and Grandma Hanks, complete with artichokes, potatoes, and ham!

Happy Easter!

Swings and eggs

Time for painting eggs! Brooklyn did these with Daddy, and amazingly didn't spill!

We got a swingset for Easter! We grossly underestimated how long it would take to put up, but it was fun nonetheless. :) Brooklyn is so excited!! Ok, I'll admit that I am too!!

Helmet

When Stockton was born, his clavicle was fractured. For the first 6 weeks or so of his life, he had a hard time turning his head to the right, and so usually slept facing the left. Because of that, he has a somewhat severe flat spot of the back left of his head. Our pediatrician suggested we see a head specialist, so we rolled our eyes and did so. Turns out his head was quite misshapen.. He put a nylon/sock type thing on Stock's head, and then did some scans. Craig asked me if I wanted to take his picture, but I declined - a decision I am really regretting. He was so cute with his chubby cheeks sticking out and a sock tied around his head. It was hilarious.

Anyway, when the scans were done, we could see much better that his head was pretty bad. On a scale from 0 to something, 0 being a perfectly round head, he was at a 13. The Dr. said he definitely recommends helmeting if your child is anywhere from a 12-14, but he had also helmeted kids as low as an 8 or 9. So helmet him we did. I'm not thrilled about it, but if it helps get his head more round, I'm sure it will be worth it in the long run. Today is his first day wearing it, and so far it doesn't seem to bother him. They say it could impede their ability to roll over, but Stock could already roll over just fine, and still can. We'll see how this works out! Craig chose the color.

Easter is coming, and cookies make you fat!

It's almost Easter!!! Oooo I get so excited for Easter. Egg hunts, cookies, candy, Sunday dresses... :) I love Easter. The first of our festivities will be making cookies! Although it looks like Brooklyn did everything herself, I helped. ;) The holidays get more fun the older Brooklyn gets. We get to make more family traditions, and she's old enough to understand and get excited too. So far, I love having a three year old!

And this guy watched.
